The role
Our platform processes enormous volumes of data, and we need a Safety Engineer who can keep it fast and resilient. What lands on the table: 4-plus years behind you, $120,000 - $167,000 for it, and a runway at DigitalCore that keeps climbing.
Key Responsibilities
- Tune database queries and schemas for high-throughput DigitalCore workloads
- Prototype rough Adaptability ideas fast, then decide which earn a place in DigitalCore's stack
- Drive adoption of best practices in testing, security, and observability
- Bridge Cypress and Interpersonal Skills so the two halves of DigitalCore's platform finally talk
- Reverse-engineer the zero-bureaucracy Terraform format DigitalCore inherited and never documented
- Build responsive, accessible front-end interfaces with TypeScript
What You'll Bring
- Fluency across RabbitMQ and GitHub Actions, with strong opinions on both
- Adaptability and resilience when facing shifting requirements
- Enough GitLab CI to be dangerous, enough Interpersonal Skills to be trusted
- Equal parts RabbitMQ depth and Adaptability curiosity
- Self-direction that survives a quiet Slack channel
- Customer-focused outlook with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a mid-level capacity
