The role

TechSphere needs a Director of Engineering in CA who can argue passionately about Redis, then commit to whatever the team decides. The proposition holds together — $220,000 - $300,000, 12 years, a CA base, and ownership the rest of the market rarely grants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own a technology service end to end, from Next.js schema to on-call rotation
  • Track and report on key performance metrics for technology services
  • Deliver director-quality features within the $220,000 - $300,000 Director of Engineering mandate
  • Keep TechSphere's Multitasking dependencies patched before the CVEs become incidents
  • Pair Ruby and Linux in a pipeline TechSphere can extend without your help later
  • Turn vague technology tickets into crisp, testable JavaScript acceptance criteria

What You'll Bring

  • Willingness to commute to Pomona, CA or work flexibly as needed
  • Practical command of Delegation, with bonus points for Multitasking
  • The reliability that lets a manager stop checking in
  • Flexibility to adapt your approach as business needs evolve
  • A Pomona network, or the hustle to build one from scratch
  • Real Agile chops, plus the Kubernetes curiosity to keep growing

Out of a converted warehouse in Pomona, TechSphere has quietly grown into an experiment-friendly force shaping how technology gets done. We keep our process light so engineers can spend their energy on JavaScript and Linux, not bureaucracy.

We provide a $220,000 - $300,000 salary, full benefits, and dedicated time each week to learn new Linux and Delegation tools.

We bumped the date today, signaling this Director of Engineering search is ongoing.
